New Door · Practical guide

Before you reserve: get these answers in writing.

A practical checklist for total cost, handover, fees and document review.

Before you reserve: get these answers in writing.

Get the total price in writing

Bring together the unit price, down payment, instalment schedule and any extra charges such as maintenance or parking. A down payment is not the total price. A promotional incentive should have a clear expiry date.

Identify the exact home

Confirm the development, phase, building, unit number, floor and area. A brochure unit type is neither a reservation nor proof of availability. Ask for documentation connecting the specific offer to its plan and details.

Separate finish from handover

Ask which finishes are included in the contract, which are excluded, the construction status and the handover date. Furniture in a rendering is not automatically included. Fully finished does not, by itself, establish when you can move in.

Review documents before committing

Review reservation, cancellation, refund and fee terms with the contracting party. Obtain independent legal review where needed. New Door helps organise information and coordination; that does not replace reading the contract or professional advice.

This is general guidance. Review legal and financial terms and specifications in the unit-specific documents and written offer before committing.
